Our History
From a modest beginning in 1988, the journey of the KC Phoon Group of Companies is built on persistence, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to the growth of Papua New Guinea’s built environment.

KC Phoon began his career with Barclay Bros Pty Ltd, where he was introduced to the foundations of construction management and project delivery. These formative years instilled in him the core principles of quality, safety, and technical excellence — values that continue to drive the Group today.

In 1990, KC took his first entrepreneurial step by establishing Homeguard Limited, a company focused on building and maintenance. Through consistent performance and a reputation for reliability, Homeguard laid the groundwork for KC’s expansion into broader and more complex construction ventures.

Evolving from the former Stratos Group, KCPGC represents a modern, unified identity built on decades of experience, disciplined leadership, and a commitment to innovation and integrity.

Our Group is structured around three specialist companies:
